Spanning decades and the globe, the remarkable odysseys of Aaron, Michael, and Rebecca were as compelling as the journey of their renowned mother, Leah. From the courageous struggle of the Hungarian revolution, to the dramatic strife of the civil rights movement in Mississippi...from Israel's heroic fight for freedom, to the eve of the Six-Day War...Leah's children confronted their own convictions and desires in an ever-changing world fraught with danger, idealism, and betrayal. Their uncompromising search for love and fulfillment carried them into dangerous emotional territory - where only the strength, courage, and imagination inherited from their mother could lead them to their own triumphant destinies.

I whipped through this book and it was a big one! Love the way Goldreich writes - have enjoyed many of her books, most recently, The Bridal Chair. I had read Leah's Journey many years ago. This sequel refreshed my memory of Leah and it was great. It almost read like three books in one because each of her children had their own section. The ending was bittersweet for me. Her family were all in a good place, however the last few pages ended very abruptly for me. After all the pages I read I wanted more of an explanation - I wasn't prepared for the ending. I do recommend this book and will read others of hers!Product details

Leah Children (Audible Audio Edition) Gloria Goldreich Suzanne Toren Audible Studios Books Reviews
I simply couldn't put Leah's Journey down! So why did I plough thru Leah's Children? The was no "grip" to the story from the start and the rest could have been million's of other peoples' story. Very disappointed.
Loved this book ~ well done sequel to Leah's Journey ~ well developed characters and plot ~ highly recommend reading this after reading Leah's Journey.
This is the sequel to Leah's Journey which was excellent. The sequel was just as good. Gloria Goldreich's writing is excellent and looking forward to reading more books by her.
This book captures the tenuous connections that span generations. Across the miles and losses, it is love that renews hope. This is a book that captures the fragility of human connections in a world of threat and beauty. Through connectedness comes salvation and a modicum of peace. This novel is an honest portrayal of the complexities inherent in all relationships.
Love coming back to this diverse and interesting family. The children all seem to find purpose and live lives worthy of their parent's struggles. You will enjoy curling up and conning home.
Tthis was one of the best books I have read and I am a prolific reader of novels. It was inspiring, well written, compelling, The writer whose other books I have also devoured, is very talented in telling a good story. Her descriptions are vivid and crisp and her character study is realistic and meaningful. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a poignant story that provides thoughtful understanding of life.
This book was well worth the read. It is a tough story to tell, but yet full of compassion, and love. Family values abound, and giving back to the community that gave one their roots. A very well written story, that resoundes to all immigrants and the places and people that influenced their lives.
